What does
the phrase "and in the event a transaction with the same
party on substantially the same terms appear on such writing
is consummated within 6 months of receipt of notice of termination,
Agency will be entitled to the commission specified in Section
2 on such transaction" mean?
If
one of us decides to terminate our relationship, The Rosenberg
Group will provide you with a list, within ten days of receipt
of the termination notice, of all pending offers, negotiations,
and solicitations regarding your work. For the following six-month
period, if any of these listed activities result in a contract
offer and signing, then The Rosenberg Group will be eligible
for the commission on that project. It is unlikely that a
reputable agent would take on any projects represented by
another agency. Once the six-month period expires, The Rosenberg
Group gives up any claim on the author's work.
